About Me

Carol Hollister is fully accredited Bowen practitioner by the Bowen Technique Academy of Australia (www.bowenwork.com), the original Bowen technique institution.  She studied and trained in the US, Canada and UK and conducted her clinical work in the US and Portugal.  Alongside advanced university medical studies including anatomy and physiology, she has taken advanced Bowen coursework SP1 and Bowen for Immobile, Stroke Care and Chronic Fatigue.

Carol was introduced to Bowenwork in 2004 when she sought treatment to get rid of her five–year battle with migraine headaches. After three Bowen sessions her migraines disappeared. She needed no more convincing about the effectiveness of Bowenwork to regain health and experience rapid transformation and started her education immediately.

The main focus of her clinic is to work with her clients to help them regain their health. Carol’s practice is well rounded, treating a diversity of patients both male and female from newborns to the elderly. Carol utilizes her extensive knowledge of the body’s healing power and its physical and energetic anatomy as well as a keen sense of touch and awareness to empower her clients healing capabilities.

Carol has extensive health and medical knowledge having worked in medical research with HMOs, physicians, nurses and hospital staff in the US and internationally prior to settling in Morristown, N.J. in 1996 and now in Portugal in 2010.
